Mesquite (prosopis glandulosa var. glandulosa)  is found along southwestern United States and Mexico. Heavy and hard, this wood is known for it's decay resistance. Though it has been favored firewood for years, the beauty of the marbling like grain of the yellows, pinks, orange and reds of this wood makes it an exquisite choice for woodworking.
